WARRANTY

BLACKLINE SIGNS Warranty Terms & Conditions

This Warranty is provided by BlackLine Signs and applies to all signage, vehicle graphics, wraps, decals, and related products supplied and installed by BlackLine Signs within Australia.

This warranty is only valid for the original purchaser and is non-transferable. If ownership of the vehicle, sign, or product changes, the warranty will immediately cease.

 

1. Warranty Coverage

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship supplied and installed by BlackLine Signs during the applicable warranty period.

Warranty coverage applies only where products have been purchased, supplied, and installed by BlackLine Signs and where proof of purchase can be provided.

 

2. Vehicle Wrap Film Warranty

2.1 Film Durability Warranty

The vinyl wrap film used by BlackLine Signs carries a manufacturer's warranty of:

  • Up to 5 years on vertical surfaces

  • Up to 1 year on horizontal surfaces

Warranty periods commence from the original invoice date and are subject to the manufacturer's specifications and environmental conditions within the Asia-Pacific region.

Note: Certain vehicle surfaces may contain both vertical and horizontal elements. Warranty coverage will be determined based on the surface orientation and manufacturer's guidelines.

2.2 Installation Warranty

BlackLine Signs provides a workmanship and installation warranty of four (4) weeks from the date of installation.

This warranty covers issues directly related to installation, including:

  • Vinyl lifting due to installation defects

  • Adhesion failure resulting from installation errors

  • Workmanship defects

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Improper washing techniques

  • High-pressure cleaning equipment

  • Third-party modifications or repairs

  • Vehicle accidents

  • Misuse or neglect

Any installation-related failure will generally become evident within the initial four-week period following installation.

 

3. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Reasonable fading, discolouration, or weathering over time

  • Scratches, scuffs, dents, or impact damage

  • Damage caused by aggressive cleaning products or methods

  • Damage resulting from pressure washing

  • Environmental damage including hail, storms, flooding, salt exposure, tree sap, bird droppings, or animal scratching

  • Damage caused by rust, corrosion, failing paint, poor paint preparation, or existing substrate defects

  • Damage occurring during removal of existing vinyl or graphics, including paint lifting or peeling

  • Differences in paint colour or finish between covered and exposed painted surfaces following wrap removal

  • Damage caused by improper maintenance or failure to follow care instructions provided by BlackLine Signs

  • Products altered, modified, repaired, or tampered with by any third party

  • Accidental damage, misuse, neglect, or improper storage

 

4. Limitation of Liability

BlackLine Signs reserves the right to inspect, investigate, and test any product subject to a warranty claim.

BlackLine Signs may reject a warranty claim where:

  • Proof of purchase cannot be provided;

  • The cause of failure cannot be reasonably determined; or

  • The failure is found to be the result of misuse, neglect, environmental factors, or causes outside BlackLine Signs' control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlackLine Signs shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, commercial, or economic loss arising from the use of its products or services.

 

5. Warranty Claims

All warranty claims must be submitted in writing and include:

  • Customer name and contact details

  • Original invoice or proof of purchase

  • Clear photographs of the issue

  • Description of the problem

BlackLine Signs reserves the right to inspect the product prior to approving any warranty repair or replacement.

 

6. Workmanship Guarantee

BlackLine Signs takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

If any product or installation is found to be defective due to workmanship performed by BlackLine Signs, we will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the affected area;

  • Replace the affected product; or

  • Reinstall the product where appropriate.

This guarantee applies only to defects directly attributable to BlackLine Signs' workmanship and does not extend to circumstances listed under the exclusions section.

 

7. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

These Warranty Terms & Conditions operate in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
